Hester
Hester’s beautiful creamy-coloured coat blended so well in the long summer grasses on the freshes. She was a very protective mother, who’s calves chased and played anything that dared to come close – usually geese.
Our girls are taken from paintings by Rachel Lockwood’s Cley Cow Studies, (although some of the Salthouse girls have snuck in too). These wonderful cows live out on the marsh, under the massive North Norfolk sky where, at night the only light comes from the stars and the moon.
